Interview Bingo
Students interview their friends using the target expression 「どんなスポーツをしますか」When they find someone who does a particular sport, they write their name underneath the corresponding picture. Cut and paste - sports
Ss cut out the headline and each sport, and then glue them in their notebook, leaving some space between each sport. Then, Ss write down Japanese, Romaji (optional), and English for each sport. Ss practice “Like and Dislike” expressions and write a sentence for each sport. For homework Ss can colour in each sport and review the new words. Read it, write it, make it boards (Sports)
Students pratise sports with these "Read it, write it, make it" boards. The boards are broken up into three sections - read it, make it, write it! Laminate the boards and use an erasable pen to practise writing the sports words. For the 'make it' section students need to make the word out of play dough, pipecleaners or any other malleable substance. Sports include じゅうどう、フォットーボル、きゅうどう、サッカー、からて、けんどう、すもう、やきゅう.
